Just Call Me One Happy Pig
Long have I laughed at the restaurant called the Happy Pig, apart from the name they often a blackboard at the front with a witty saying, “yes, bacon makes everything sexy ” was probably my favourite.
Finally made it in there for dinner and the food was as good as their witty blackboards. Menu is burger and not surprisingly bacon heavy. Restaurant is small, seating for only about 20, with one large communal table getting a lot of use.
Burgers tread a fine line, between traditional and gourmet, with my burger having various spicy relishes added. Partly because the burger was so good and I was starving, I followed it up with the burger of the day, a pannini. Though, after ordering was informed that the had run out of chicken so would add further bacon…how could I say no. My eating partner had some unusual eating requirements, which after some friendly discussion was happily accommodated. 2 burgers, 2 pannini, 2 chips, 4 beers, 350k. I will go back, and my plan is try all from the daily special list. Happy eating!
